This week, we're giving all of you lovely people a list places to take your friends, family or significant other on a food date in Dublin. Now that tarvel restrictions have lifted and we can all tarvel around the county, we've compiled a short list of well known food trucks and some hidden gems dotted around 'The Pale', that will leave your tastebuds dancing!
Griolladh
Located on the Coast Road, Malahide, Griolladh is an excellent opportunity to grab yourself one of Dublin's finest grilled sandwidches and take a stroll on Malahide beach.
We would recommend you order the 'HAMBO', a Honey Glazed Ham with a melted, 3 Cheese blend on Tartine Sourdough bread! Simple, but extremely tasty!

Goats Gruff
This hidden gem, is ironically not very 'hidden' any longer, and is a popular coffee shop along the Strawberry beds, opposite the Strawberry Hall pub. We've labelled it a hidden gem as it's located in a very scenic and rural part of Dublin, just 5 away from the Phoenix Park.
A good quality coffee is served in the morning/afternoon hours from 8am - 3pm every day, while they also offer woodfired pizza in the evenings from Thursday - Sunday. make sure to check out their instagram and get in touch as you will need to place your Pizza order in advance!

La Peniche
One of the more romantic spots on our list, La Peniche is a floating restaurant based on a boat at the Grand Canal on Mespil Road. Why not grab yourslef a takeaway pizza with a cheeky bottle of red and treat the significant other to romantic evening they'll never forget. (Good opportunity to pop the big question or even laydown some groundwork with a new fling. The opportunities are endless and will result in some major brownie points.)

Baileys Bites
The last spot on our list brings something slightly different to the table, especially for seafood lovers! "Baileys Bites is the brainchild of the well known seafood kings Kish Fish", and offers a range of seafood options, most notably the delicious chowder, served in a sumptious bread bowl.
Why not take a stroll along Howth Pier, grab yourself a chowder when you're done and, if you're not driving, wash it down with a (takeaway) pint of stout at a local boozer! Good for the economy and all that!
