Dublin Castle Christmas Market

Dublin Castle have a great Christmas set up this year, from Boutique Open-Air Christmas Markets with live entertainment, to their own Irish designers market. Let the kids run riot on the vintage carousel and festive amusements while the adults take it all in accompanied with a nice hot tipple from the festive food and drink stalls! Situated in a prime spot in town for a few drinks or food before or after in a local Bar or Restaurant, this is a great Christmas activity and it makes it even sweeter that it is free admission! This magical experience is located in the foothills of the Dublin Mountains and has been dubbed as Irelands most authentic Santa experience! The Santa experience takes you back in time as you get that lovely Christmas feeling in the most beautiful and natural surroundings imaginable and most importantly, getting to meet the big man himself! The bright twinkling lights of the enchanted forest trail will certainly get the whole family into the Christmas spirit! Luggwoods runs up until the 23rd of December with kids tickets priced at €21.95 and adults at €15.95.

Christmas at Guinness Storehouse

Silly Season is a perfect time to go and do them touristy things that we wouldn't usually do regularly! Why not gather a crew and head to the Guinness Storehouse and experience the 7 floors of bespoke festive decor and lights! After the tour hit the Gravity Bar and try some festive mulled Guinness or try the experimental Plum Pudding Porter brew - (not sure how we feel about this but its worth a shot, literally!). Arthur’s Bar and 1837 Bar & Brasserie, both located on site, offering special festive menus featuring the best of Irish food if you wanted to get a bite to eat too!

Grafton Street Christmas lights

Grafton Street around Christmas is special, the buzz of the street and the festive bright lights would put you in a great mood! Whether its some shopping and a stroll around Brown Thomas, or going to meet some friends for Christmassy pints there isn't many better spots. The mix of bars and restaurants around Grafton Street is top notch. A suggestion of ours would be to start at the bottom in somewhere like Marys Hardware bar and work your way up towards the famous Mcdaids or Davy Byrnes for some cosy drinks and great food, you'll find it all on Grafton Street!
